Advice and Guidance for the School Improvement Partner (SIP) programme – from the DfES.

Discussions with SIP Managers who have been using the document during the first year of the SIP programme, and the acknowledgement within the SIP team of the need to revisit the initial guidance in the light of experience, have led to significant changes in the document.

There are many changes, including examples of practice from a range of authorities and the DfES have also endeavoured to pull together in one document key information which can be drawn on for guidance and support on individual aspects of the programme.

This Advice and Guidance for Local Authorities document should be read alongside edition 2 of the SIP Brief and the National Strategies Quality Assurance Framework, Procedures and Proformas for School Improvement Partners.
