The underlying core professional purpose of the Early Years Service is that:


Early Years provision is founded on a commitment to equal opportunities and social inclusion for all and no child will be disadvantaged because of ethnicity, culture or religion, home language, family background or economics, additional educational needs, disability, gender or ability.

Early Years provision respects and celebrates the diversity of children and their families.

The Early Years Service will promote and encourage best value across all childcare and early education settings, both in house and commissioned.
