SCHOOL REORGANISATION CPD PROGRAMME
Training courses for Staff, Governors and Clerks to Governing Bodies This CPD programme is targeted at staff who will be changing phase, for school leaders whose schools will be receiving new year groups of children and governors and their clerks, who will be responsible for establishing, monitoring and challenging new, enlarging and federating schools, through the reorganisation of schools on the Isle of Wight. It is designed to complement existing activity. Some events are specifically related to reorganisation, but many are part of the annual CPD programme. We anticipate that this programme will be valuable to teachers, support staff, governors and clerks to governors who want training and development in aspects of a phase with which they are unfamiliar. In addition to formal training opportunities there are many local arrangements between schools that involve visits, exchanges and possibly paired working arrangements. In some areas there are well developed subject liaison groups that might be utilised. It is essential that you follow the ‘How to Apply’ procedures if you wish to apply for a course. Please note that any one turning up for a course without booking may be sent away if it is full. However, if there is a space and it is a full day’s course lunch will not be available as this is booked a week in advance.
