SCIENCE SUBJECT LEADERS – HIGH SCHOOLS
SSC/EC/20
Target Group: High School Science Co-ordinators.
These sessions serve a dual purpose: - To disseminate advice and guidance from secondary strategy, particularly regarding the new Secondary Framework in Science.
- To act as a support network for KS4 Science and share good practice – please bring along any new ideas that you have been implementing.
Objectives / Learning Outcomes:
- GCSE / vocational KS4 developments.
- Strengthening assessment for learning using APP.
- Developing future scientists in your school (part 2).
- Building towards 2 levels progress.
- Wave 1 – 3 intervention.
Intended Impact:
To enable science leaders to:
- be aware of the new secondary curriculum and its potential influence on developments in GCSE Science;
- deliver increased rates of progress within KS4;
- develop good practice as a result of dialogue with colleagues.
