NATIONAL STRATEGIES BEHAVIOUR AND ATTENDANCE LOCAL NETWORK TRAINING 2008-2009 SSC/EC/13 Target Group: Middle and High School designated Behaviour and Attendance Co-ordinator. These sessions will run from 9:00am until 12:00pm on the dates listed and are for all schools deemed secondary (i.e. Middle and High Schools). Schools will have appointed their Behaviour and Attendance Co-ordinator and they will have been attending the Network update sessions over the past couple of years. These people should keep the dates listed free in their calendars for the next academic year. Should any schools have changed the person who is fulfilling this role could they please let Steve Hoyle know at Thompson House in advance of the sessions, so that information can be sent to the appropriate person in advance of the three meetings. These are issues that are currently high priority at National level and are moving on very quickly. It is essential that schools are both up to date and have their say in how these agenda’s are to be driven forward on the Island. It also provides an opportunity to share good practice across the Authorities schools and enable the schools to co-ordinate our priorities on issues of behaviour and attendance.
