ENGLISH SUBJECT LEADERS TRAINING
SSC/EC/10
Target Group: Heads of English and English Key Stage 3 Co-ordinators.
Aim: - To inform colleagues of the latest training materials from the National Strategy and address local issues relating to teaching and learning in Middle and High School English Departments.
Objectives / Learning Outcomes:
- Leaders of English will be able to implement the training material in their schools, use the resources from the National Strategy Standards website to inform and develop their own and others practice and ensure progress is made in raising standards.
Intended Impact:
- To ensure leaders of English departments are kept up-to-date with the latest directives and initiatives from the National Strategy.
- To give colleagues from both Middle and High schools the opportunity to liaise and plan together.
- To address local issues and the needs of teachers and schools in raising attainment.
