SCIENCE SUBJECT LEADERS – KEY STAGE 3
SSC/EC/06
Target Group: Middle School Science Co-ordinators and Year 9 High School Science Co-ordinators.
These sessions serve a dual purpose: - To disseminate advice and guidance from secondary strategy, particularly regarding the new Secondary Framework in Science.
- To act as a support network for KS3 Science and share good practice – please bring along any new ideas that you have been implementing.
Objectives / Learning Outcomes:
- Pedagogy for personalisation.
- Case studies of effective planning for increased rates of progress.
- Developing and retaining staff.
- Making two levels of progress; addressing underperformance.
Intended Impact:
To enable science leaders to:
- prepare for the introduction of the new secondary curriculum;
- deliver increased rates of progress within KS3;
- develop good practice as a result of dialogue with colleagues.
