NETWORK MEETING FOR GIFTED AND TALENTED LEADING TEACHERS AND CO-ORDINATORS ABC/EC/01
Target Group: Gifted and talented Leading Teachers and Co-ordinators.
The course aims to ensure all Island schools have access to a trained and appropriately supported leading teacher for gifted and talented education.
Objectives / Learning Outcomes:
To provide an opportunity for Gifted and Talented Leading Teachers and Co-ordinators to: - be updated on the latest local, regional and national initiatives;
- share experiences, ideas and good practice;
- exchange practical ideas regarding effective teaching and learning strategies and resources which support gifted and talented learners;
- build positive networks;
- familiarise themselves with the latest National Strategy resources and e-learning modules.
This is a termly Network Meeting for Gifted and Talented Leading Teachers and Co-ordinators. A detailed agenda will be sent to schools in the week prior to the meeting in order to take account of the latest developments and as a reminder of the meeting.
Intended Impact:
Participants will: - know more about current Gifted and talented issues and recent local, regional and national initiatives;
- find out about effective resources and teaching and learning strategies to enhance provision in their own schools;
- have an opportunity to network;
- be able to capture and disseminate What Works Well and ensure others can learn from it.
