I’M GOING TO BE A SUBJECT LEADER
PS/EC/04
Target Group: New Subject Leaders
Aim: - To gain an understanding of the key role subject leaders play in raising standards and the main components of that role.
Objectives / Learning Outcomes:
- Define the role and responsibilities of subject leaders.
- Reflect upon what activities impact on learning and teaching.
- Identify the key tasks of a subject leader on an annual basis.
Intended Impact: Subject Leaders will:
- Be able to implement activities that guide the strategic direction and development of their subject in order to raise standards.
- Have an overview of the knowledge, understanding, skills, attributes and key areas of subject leadership.
Course Trainer: School Improvement Consultant.
