CHILD PROTECTION TRAINING FOR GOVERNORS GOV/EC/16
Target Group: All Governors and Clerks to Governors.
This course aims to understand the roles and responsibilities of the governing body in relation to ‘safeguarding children’.
Objectives / Learning Outcomes: - A better understanding of child protection procedures.
- An awareness of the need for robust school care and safety systems.
- An outline of governors’ responsibilities in relation to the health & safety of staff and children
Intended Impact: - A sharper understanding leading to better quality assurance to support safe school practices.
Course Trainer: Karen Pothecary – Senior Education Welfare Officer (Child Protection) and Paul Chapman – Senior Officer Health & Safety.
