THE GOVERNORS’ ROLE IN UNDERTAKING THE PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT OF THE HEADTEACHER GOV/EC/05
Target Group: Governors who will be reviewing the Headteacher’s Performance Management.
Objectives / Learning Outcomes: - Governors will be clear as to their responsibilities in relation to Headteacher performance review.
- Governors will be able to confidently and effectively undertake Headteacher performance review ensuring appropriate rigour and challenge.
Intended Impact: - Governors will fulfil their responsibilities for Headteacher performance review as required by updated legislation.
- Headteachers will be set appropriate and rigorous performance objectives and will be supported in achieving them.
- Process of Headteacher performance review will contribute to school improvement.
