DCSF TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR NEWLY APPOINTED CLERKS TO GOVERNING BODIES

Target Group: All newly / recently appointed clerks to governing bodies.

The course will run from September, through to the presentation of documentation files in June, with the awarding of local certificates in July. By using this model there will always be opportunities to raise questions at the meeting sessions, or with mentors. It will also be possible for clerks to exchange experiences and good practice by linking via their mentors. This will ensure thorough training in the full range of the clerk’s duties and enable new appointees to develop their role with confidence.
