PREPARING FOR THE EARLY YEARS FOUNDATION STAGE

Target Group: Reception Class Teachers. Priority will be given to the Reception Class Teachers who have been individually invited by letter.

Course Aims:

To initiate the conversation to transfer our knowledge and understanding of Birth to 3, the Foundation Stage Curriculum and the Care Standards to the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Objective/Learning Outcomes:

To share our understanding of the similarities and differences between the new EYFS and the Birth to Three, Foundation Stage Curriculum and Care Standards;
To discuss the support we need;
To consider our strengths in delivery.

Course Trainers: Jane Leigh - Early Years Foundation Stage Leader with Gill Pink – Regulation and Quality Officer and Vicki Reader – Advanced Skills Teacher and Children’s Centre Teacher.
