14-19 Directory of Collaborative Provision September 2008 This is the third edition of the 14-19 Directory of Collaborative Provision for the Isle of Wight. We have been pleased with the response providers have given to previous editions and now, with the production of the third version being published earlier than last year, we hope it will form an essential tool in your curriculum planning. | | | The Isle of Wight’s newly formed 14-19 Consortium understands the importance of further development of the Learner Entitlement which was launched last year. Within this is the recognition of the Government’s 14-19 reforms highlighting the need to develop 17 Diplomas and recognising the need for strong collaborative partnerships to ensure the delivery of this entitlement for all learners.
The LSC (Hampshire and the Isle of Wight), the Local Authority and other partners acknowledge the need to raise standards across the Island. This directory will allow providers to guide learners to more appropriate routes in line with the agreed 14-19 Curriculum Entitlement, thereby increasing the number of learners achieving the Level 1 and Level 2 thresholds.
We would welcome feedback on how useful the Directory proves to be for you and your colleagues and any suggestions on how it might be improved for the fourth edition in 2008/09.
Thank you to all the 14-19 providers that have provided courses for inclusion in the Directory. We hope that learners will benefit from the wide range of provision that is included.
