From their answers we can identify what enhances their learning environment and what they might wish to learn with their family. Raising achievement within the community is the main aim of the extended schools programme and consultation with the pupils is the first step on this journey. With inclusion in mind, schools can use this technique to involve every pupil on roll. They can then use the information and work with it to enrich the extended learning environment and reduce the barriers to attainment within the wider community.
