Isle of Wight Schools Involvement Extended Schools Wave Workshops
The rationale for this structure of workshops is quite simple. The authority has been working intensively with schools in the first column since 2004 and they are, therefore, already in the process of providing access to the five elements of the core offer. Some of them are invited to be supportive trainers/mentors during the workshops. The choice of schools for Wave 1 (January - June 2006) was based upon schools either near those first schools and therefore serving the same local community or in areas of the island where we need to develop the extended agenda.
