Free School Meals

School Meals, Milk and Uniform |  | Free School Meals You can apply for free school meals for your child if you receive:
- Income Support or
- Jobseeker’s Allowance (income based) or
- Child Tax Credit (provided you do not also receive Working Tax Credit and have an annual income, as assessed by the HM Revenue and Customs, which does not exceed £14,495).
- Support under Part V1 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- The Guarantee element of State Pension Credit.

If your child is not entitled to free school meals you can pay for them to have a school dinner.
All schools provide facilities for children to eat a packed lunch brought from home.
School Milk
Free school milk is only available if your child is Under 5; or under 12 and recommended for free milk by the Isle of Wight Health Authority
School Uniform
Schools have their own uniform policies. These policies are set out in the information booklets the schools will send you. We do not provide uniform grants.
