Sharing Practice - Carisbrooke High School

 
The process of transition from Middle to High school should be seen as a smooth transfer of information; data and skills, to enable the building and progression of learning into Year 9. There is an expectation that students, parents and teachers will all engage in the process of learning across the transition phases. This year Carisbrooke have responded to an evaluation on Transition from Year 9 which highlighted the need to involve parents more and to focus on prior learning. Carisbrooke have shared on this page their Transition project and all the documents that were used to encourage parents, staff and students to focus on learning  through the Year 8 to Year 9 transition process. Transition is viewed very much as a partnership between middle and high schools and between parents, pupils and teachers.
