Emotional Health Resources Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning (S.E.A.L.) This report describes the implementation of a project to trial the Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning (SEAL) curriculum materials within 10 Isle of Wight Schools during the academic year 2005-2006.
The curriculum, published by the DFES, became available to primary schools from June 2005, having previously been trialled within 25 local authorities as part of a Behaviour and Attendance strategy pilot (2003 – 2005)
The pilot study on the Isle of Wight was funded directly by monies made available through the Primary Strategy. The Isle of Wight National Healthy Schools Project was commissioned to manage and to develop the project.
