Key Stage 2

History KS2 Unit 20 - What can we learn about recent history from studying the life of a famous person?

images/j0097565.gif

In this unit, children learn about aspects of recent history through the study of the life of John Lennon as an example of someone who made a significant impact on popular culture and entertainment, and whose life portrays some of the key social and cultural changes of the post-war period. Schools could adapt this unit to focus on another figure who has made a significant contribution to the recent history of Britain or the local area.
