Introduction to History

The Isle of Wight is rich in history and has been the home of Kings and Queens, pop stars and poets. From the Spanish Armada to the Battle of Britain the Island has witnessed many of the events that have shaped us as a nation.

Our history is reflected in the curriculum we follow in our schools so we can understand the past and perhaps even gain an insight into where the future might take us.
