Key Stage 2ICT KS2 Unit 3B - Manipulating sound 
In this unit children will explore and develop musical ideas by using ICT and other methods. They will use simple music software, tape recorders and a keyboard to compose, collect and communicate their musical ideas. They will amend and modify their work to explore various musical and sound effects, and use ICT to create, organise and record sounds. Children will be able to apply what they have learnt in this unit in music.

- Sound Recorder - A free application included with Microsoft Windows. It can be found in the ‘Accessories - Entertainment’ section of the ‘Programs’ list.
- RM Music Explorer - pre-configured at differing levels of complexity.It provides the facility for children to create short musical phrases using different instrument sounds and then modify these phrases. Using this package children can also sequence two musical phrases to experiment with rhythm and structure.
